I’ve figured out that it’s the first sixty pages that are
tough for me. I have a folder of abandoned WIPs from a few pages to sixty
pages. I don’t know why this is my abandoning point, but it is…
Number eight on this post made me realize that I need to
FINISH MY SHIT. Mostly… the shit I’m working on right now.

Saturday I wrote fifteen pages in an hour—on a project I’m
not supposed to be writing right now. It was liberating. WITHOUT YOU is really
hard right now. But the side project is a contemporary, and I find contemporary
so, so hard to write.
But I’m going to finish both projects. I WILL. I’ll do WIP
Wednesday so I can see my progress and maybe (MAYBE) have people hold me
accountable. Because I want to finish Without You and the contemporary. I also
want to finish SecretProject, but that needs to stew some more (seriously; I
threw away almost 200k words that I wrote in almost four months. It needs to
stew a while.) But the least I can do is write and finish Without You and the
contemporary. I have ten more months until 2012.
So, yeah. I guess I’m saying that I’m going to write two
manuscripts this year. TO FINISH MY SHIT.
Who is with me? I’m going to need some cheerleaders and
people to hold me accountable. X)
You can totally do this. I'm cheering you from the sidelines ^_^ You've been working so hard on all these stories, this is your year to finish a couple.
